Harrison House Care Home For Seniors
Leadership Staff

Liz & Ken Collum – Owners & Operators of Harrison House.

Liz & Ken purchased and operated their first Seniors Care Home in 2003 in Regina, Saskatchewan, with 5 residents.  Liz & Ken lived on site with their first Care Home and fell in love with the role that they played in caring for their residents.  Having successfully moved into this area of care, they then took on the challenge of caring for 5 residents that unfortunately suffered from schizophrenia and other related disabilities.

In 2009 the opportunity presented itself of purchase Harrison House which was capable of being home for 15 residents and which has now been expanded to accommodate 20 residents .  Liz has put her personal touch to the home providing a warm and caring atmosphere that ensures the residents feel at home.

In order to provide the care that Liz would have wanted for her own parents, she has continually upgraded her education in “Seniors Care”.  Each resident receives any specialized care that they may need.  While Liz is caring for the residents, Ken is busy ensuring that the physical aspects of the residents’ rooms, and all common areas inside and outside are kept in A-1 condition.

The staff hired by Liz & Ken are thoroughly screened prior to employment including a background and criminal records check.  Only after successfully passing through this screening is staff offered employment.  Liz then ensures that the staff has the proper training for the position that that staff member will be occupying.
