Harrison House is locally owned and operated by Liz and Ken Collum and is situated in the Town of Fort Qu’Appelle in the lovely Qu’Appelle Valley. The home was built in 2005 and was purchased by Liz and Ken in 2009 because of their shared vision of creating a compassionate care serviced that would treat people with respect, dignity and first-rate care.
Harrision House is a government licensed premises that offers 24 hour qualified personal care with a compliment of staff who are also certified and meet the criteria as set out by the Community Care Department (Saskatchewan Health). All staff must also pass a rigorous background check, including a criminal records check, before joining the Harrison House team.
Liz Collum – Owner/Manager
Liz has previously owned a Care Home for seniors and an Approved Home for people that suffer from schizophrenia and other mental disabilities. Upon moving to the Fort Qu’Appelle area (Pasqua Lake), Liz worked at Harrison House for the previous owner before making the offer to purchase it. She has now been in the care business for 7 years. In addition to the certification required by the Community Care Department, Liz is also trained in a variety of other procedures that may be required by our residents including the administration of medications as directed by the residents physician.

Harrison House is situated ½ block off the main street of Fort Qu’Appelle and is in the vicinity of the local stores, pharmacy, doctor and dentist offices, the Post Office and coffee shops/restaurants. A physician visits the Care Home when required and a nurse is on call to work when required.
